    Paul T. Coe Outstanding Active Award

    In 1988, the Best Active Award was renamed the Paul T. Coe Memorial Award in memory of charter member Paul Coe who died in a Japanese POW camp in World War II.

    Heath Denton Outstanding Candidate Award

    In the fall of 1994, Brother Heath Denton was killed on October 29. In loving memory of Brother Denton, and to honor the legacy of brotherhood and service that he brought to Kappa Kappa Psi and to the Tech Band, the best candidate award was renamed to the Heath Denton Memorial Outstanding Candidate Award.
